A Member takes Oaths.
COLONEL Beaumont, Governor of Dover, being
returned a Baron for the Port of Hastings, took
the Oaths; and repeated and subscribed the Declaration
or Test.
Stockbridge Writ.
Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do grant his Warrant to
the Clerk of the Crown, to issue out a new Writ for the
Electing of a Member to serve in this present Parliament
for the Borough of Stockbridge, in the County of Southampton, in the room of Mr. Oliver St. Johns, deceased.
Adjournment.
Mr. Comptroller informed the House, He had it in
Command from his Majesty, to acquaint the House,
That it was his Majesty's Pleasure, That the House
should adjourn themselves till the Nineteenth Day of
October next: And that his Majesty had directed him
further to acquaint them, that he intended both Houses
should then continue to sit; and that he would issue a
Proclamation, to give publick Notice thereof.
And then the House adjourned till the Nineteenth Day
of October next accordingly, Ten of the Clock in
the Forenoon.
