E. Torrington takes the Oaths.
This Day Arthur Earl of Torrington took the Oaths,
and made and subscribed the Declaration, and took
and subscribed the Oath of Adjuration, pursuant to the
Statutes.
Traherne & al. versus Sadleir & al.
Upon reading the Petition of Phillip Traherne Senior
and Philip Traherne Junior; praying "a Day may be
appointed for hearing of their Appeal, to which Richard Sadleir and others are Respondents; and that all
Proceedings below be stayed in the mean Time:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal
in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the
said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Friday the Thirtieth Day of this Instant November, at Eleven a Clock
in the Forenoon; and that all Proceedings in the Courts
below be stayed in the mean Time.
The Order of the Day being read;
Protestant Succession;
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put
into a Committee, to consider farther what may be
fitting to be done, for the Preservation of Her Majesty's
Person and Government, and the Protestant Succession
as by Law established.
After some Time, the House was resumed.
And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the
Committee had agreed to several Heads, for the Judges
to prepare, and bring in, a Bill, in order to be passed
into an Act, upon the several Resolutions of the
House, and Debate in the Committee of the whole
House."
To which the House agreed, and ordered as followeth:
Judges to prepare, and bring in, a Bill for preserving it.
"It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Judges do
prepare, and bring in, a Bill, in order to be passed
into an Act. upon the several Resolutions of the House,
and Debate in the Committee of the whole House
appointed to consider of what may be fitting to be
done, for the Preservation of Her Majesty's Person and
Government, and the Protestant Succession as by Law
established.
House of Hanover to be naturalized.
"And also a Bill for naturalizing the House of Hannover."
