L. Osborne introduced:

This Day Peregrine Hyde Osborne, of Keveton, Chevalier, was (in his Robes) introduced, between the Lord Hay and the Lord Masham (also in their Robes); the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, the Earl of Abingdon in the Absence of the Lord Great Chamberlain, and Clarencieux officiating for Garter King at Arms (carrying his Writ), preceding.

His Lordship presented his Writ to the Lord Keeper, on his Knee, at the Woolsack, who gave it to the Clerk; and the same was read, at the Table, as follows:

Britanniæ & Ecclefiæ concernentibus, præsens Parliamentum Nostrum, apud Civitatem Nostram Westmonast. Vicesimo Quinto Die Novembris, Anno Regni Nostri Nono, teneri ordinaverimus; & ibidem, cum Prælatis, Magnatibus, & Proceribus dicti Regni Nostri, Colloquium habere & Tractatum; quod quidem Parliamentum Nostrum abinde, per separalia Adjournamenta & Prorogationes, usque ad & in Tertium Diem Februarii nunc prox. sequen. adjournatum & prorogatum fuerat, apud Civitat. Nostram præd. ibidem tunc tenendum & prosequendum: Vobis, sub Fide & Ligeantia quibus Nobis tenemini, firmiter injungendo mandamus, quod, consideratis dictorum Negotiorum Arduitate, & Periculis imminentibus, cessante Excusatione quacunque, ad dictum Parliamentum Nostrum personaliter intersitis, Nobiscum, ac cum Prælatis, Magnatibus, & Proceribus prædictis, super dictis Negotiis tractatur. vestrumque Consilium impensur.; & hoc sicut Nos & Honorem Nostrum, ac Salvationem & Defensionem Regni & Ecclesiæ prædict. Expeditionemque dictorum Negotiorum diligitis, nullatenus omittatis.

Then his Lordship was seated on the Barons Bench, in his Father's Barony; and came to the Table, and took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Bp. of Hereford takes the Oaths.

Also, Philip Lord Bishop of Hereford took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

The Lord Keeper acquainted the House, "That Her Majesty had sent a Commission for the further proroguing of the Parliament."

The House was adjourned during Pleasure.

The House was resumed.

Then the Lords Commissioners (in their Robes), being seated on a Form placed between the Throne and the Woolsack; the Lord Keeper in the Middle; with the Lord Treasurer on his Right Hand; and the Earl of Dartmouth on his Left; commanded the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to let the Commons know, "That the Commissioners desire their immediate Attendance in the House of Peers, to hear the Commission read."

Then the Lord Keeper said,

"By Virtue of the Commission which has been now read, we do, in Her Majesty's Name, further prorogue this present Parliament to Tuesday the Tenth Day of this Instant March: And this Parliament is accordingly prorogued to Tuesday the Tenth Day of this Instant March."
