ST. NICHOLAS OLIVES IN BREAD STREET.
Mr. Atkinson sometimes farmed his benefice and received of the parishioners fines that the tithe might be abated, and left to the successor a book
so impaired that the whole tithe per ann. was but £24. It is to be humbly
prayed that such loss may be repaired and the like prevented.
The total sum of tithe after 2/9 the pound according to this moderate
value is £113/1/8.
Richard Chesshire, Rector.
