E. of Lincoln desires Privilege in Mrs. Hadnett's Suit against him.
The Speaker acquainted the House with a Letter he
hath received from the Earl of Lyncolne; intimating,
"That his Lordship hath understood, from his Steward
in Lyncolnshire, that one Mr. William Perkins, late
Undersheriff of that County, hath extended some Lands
of his Lordship's, as the Lands of his now Wife's, in
Swayton, in that County, at the Suit of one Mrs.
Hadnett; which his Lordship conceives is against the
Privilege of the House; and therefore desires their
Lordships will be pleased to order the Extent to be
taken off, the Person that extended it to be sent for
to answer his Contempt, and that, for the future, his
Lands may be secured from Extents or any other
Mean Process."
Hereupon it is Ordered, That when the Earl of
Lyncolne do give this House a true State of the Case,
then this House will take it into Consideration.
The abovesaid Letter was dated the 3d of February
Instant, and superscribed thus,
"To the Right Honourable the Earl of Denbigh,
Speaker of the House of Peers pro Tempore."

Ordered, That the Message to the House of Commons shall be delivered, to desire the Committee may
meet on Monday Morning next, at Nine a Clock.
