Cat. II]'. Almost certainly to be identified with Richard Ruffus I, archdcn. of Essex
prob. from before Jan. 1127, to d. in 1167. In this case there is an error in cats.,
which should read 'Ricardus nepos episcopi archidiaconus' (see conjecture in
G.F. p. 280). Possibly preb. of Consumpta after 1150.
