Coll. 16 March 1543 (Reg. XXVII f. 16v). Instal. by proxy 2 June (CA 1536-47 p. 77). Compounded for first-fruits 17 Dec. (P.R.O., E 334/2 f. 172v).

The preb. of Cropredy was alienated to the duke of Somerset and had passed from him to the duke of Northumberland by 8 Dec. 1551, when the latter sold it to the Crown (C.P.R. 1550-3 p. 117). It was annexed by the Crown to the bpc. of Oxford (Lincoln Cath. Statutes III 656).
