He was pres. by king sede vacante 21 Sept. (C.P.R. 1550-3 p. 437; P.D. 1552/15) and instal. by proxy 26 Sept. (CA 1547-59 p. 76), when preb. said to be vac. by negligence of the last holder in not paying the king's subsidy (ibid.). (fn. 1) Wilson was probably depriv. by May 1554, (fn. 2) as he was of his York preb. (cf. Borthwick Institute, ADM. 1554; ibid., Dean and Chapter, Reg. 5A ff. 688v-689). Wright occ.
