His Majesty being robed with His Regal Ornaments,
and sitting in His Throne, the Prince sitting on His
Left Hand, and the same Lords attending near His
Majesty, and after the same Manner as on the First Day;
the Lords Spiritual and Temporal being in their Robes,
and in their Places; the House of Commons, being come
without the Bar, presented Mr. Lentall their Speaker,
who, after many low Obeisances made, (fn. *) was brought
to the Step, between Sir Francis Windebanke and Sir
Henry Vane, both Secretaries of State to His Majesty.
And being thus presented, he made this short Speech unto
His Majesty, as follows:

Which being ended; the Lord Keeper came from his
Place behind His Majesty, and, kneeling, received the
King's Directions, and returned to his Place, and told
the Speaker he had Command from His Majesty to signify unto him, That His Majesty doth approve of the
Choice of the Commons in electing him, and proceeded
more at large as follows:
