33. There is an error either in the valuation or in the assessment.
34. John Wellesborne, esq. claimed before the barons that he was a Gentleman of the Privy Chamber in the King's household and attended there daily, that he had been assessed £7 10s. by the subsidy commissioners of the King's household, and that he had no residence in the city of London. He was discharged in London (E.359/44, r. 19; E.159/321, communia Trinity 34 Hen. VIII, r. 24).
35. Sir Christopher Moore claimed that whereas subsidy commissioners living within the limits of their commissions should be assessed there and whereas he was a commissioner in Surrey and had a residence there he should not be assessed in London. The barons of the exchequer discharged him in London on payment of an assessment of £5 in Surrey (E.359/44, r. 19; E. 159/321, communia Easter 34 Hen. VIII, r. 48).
36. John Lucas, esq., subsidy commissioner in Kent, was discharged in London on payment of assessment of 50s. in Kent (E.359/44, r. 19; E.159/321, communia Trinity 34 Hen. VIII, r. 69). See preceding note.
