AN ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable the Trustees of William Gage Esquire to raise Money, by a Mortgage of Part of his Estate, for the Preservation of the Timber growing thereon, was read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed, upon the Debate, to Sir Sam. Barnardiston, Sir Gerv. Elwes, Sir Hen. Goodrick, Mr. Arnold, Mr. Cook, Sir Robert Davers, Sir Jos. Thames Locks and Weirs.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee, to whom the Bill for preventing Exactions of Occupiers of Locks and Weirs upon the River of Thames, westward of the City of London; and for ascertaining the Price of Water-carriage upon the said River; was committed; be taken into Consideration upon Tuesday Morning next.

Finch's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act to vest certain Lands and Tenements in Trustees, to be sold, for the better Provision of the Daughters, and Coheirs of Joseph Finch Esquire, deceased, was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass.

Ordered, That Mr. Waller do carry the Bill to the Lords, and acquaint them, That this House hath agreed to the same, without any Amendments.

Raising the Militia.

Sir Richard Onslow presented to the House, according to Order, a Bill for raising the Militia of this Kingdom for the Year 1695, although the Month's Pay formerly advanced be not repaid; and for repealing the Statute, of the Second and Third Years of King Edward the Sixth, intituled, An Act against Shooting of Hail-shot: And the same was received,

Encouragement of Privateers.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Wednesday Morning next, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Bill for the better Encouragement of Privateers.

Compelling Production of Sir P. Pindar.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee, to whom the ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act to compel Edward Williams Esquire to bring forth the Person of Sir Paul Pindar Baronet, is committed, be made upon Monday Morning next.

Punishing Mutiny and Desertion.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill for continuing Two former Acts, for punishing Officers and Soldiers who shall mutiny, or desert his Majesty's Service; and for punishing false Musters; and for Payment of Quarters; for One Year longer; be made upon Thursday Morning next.

Call of the House.

Ordered, That the House be called over upon Wednesday come Sevennight: And that such Members of this House as shall not then attend, be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms: And that none do presume to go out of Town without the Leave of the House.

Encouraging Seamen.

A Bill for the Encouragement and Increase of Seamen was read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed upon the Debate, to a Committee of the whole House.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Tuesday Morning next, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House to consider of the said Bill.

Transport Debt.

Resolved, That this House will, upon this Day Sevennight, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to take into Consideration that Part of his Majesty's Speech, at the opening this Session, which relates to the Debts owing to the Transport-Ships for Ireland.

Preventing Export of Wool.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee, to whom the Bill for the better preventing the Exportation of Wool, by altering the Penalty; and for the Preservation of the Publick Market at Blackwell-hall; and for Relief of the Workmen employed in the Woollen Manufactures, in Payment of their Wages; was committed; be taken into Consideration upon Wednesday next come Sevennight.

Supply Bill; Annuitants for Life.

Mr. Solicitor-General presented to the House, according to Order, a Bill for enabling such Persons as have Estates for Life, in Annuities, payable by several former Acts, therein mentioned, to purchase and obtain further or more certain Interests in such Annuities; and, in Default thereof, for admitting other Persons to purchase or obtain the same: And the same was received.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time upon Monday Morning next.

Attempt to bribe a Member.

The House being informed, by Mr. Musgrave, That Mr. Robert Bird, of Staple Inn, came to him Yesterday, in the Court of Request; and desired him to present a Petition; and pulled out some Guineas to give him for the same;

Ordered, That Mr. Robert Bird, Attorney at Law, be summoned to attend this House upon Monday Morning next.

A Message from the Lords, by Mr. Meredeth and Mr. Pitt:

Christ-church Minister's Maintenance.

The Lords have agreed to the Bill, intituled, An Act for enabling the Inhabitants of the Parish of Christ-Church, in the County of Surrey, to make Rates, for raising a Maintenance for a good and able Minister; and for the impowering the Trustees of the Will of John Marshall, deceased, to employ Monies for the finishing the said Parish-Church; without any Amendments. Also,

Hare's Estate.

The Lords have passed a Bill, intituled, An Act for the better enabling the Executors and Trustees of Sir Thomas Hare Baronet, lately deceased, to raise Portions and Maintenance for his younger Children: And also,

Making Salt-water fresh.

A Bill, intituled, An Act for making Salt-water fresh:
To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.
And then the Messengers withdrew.

Sir John Trevor expelled.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, proceeded upon the Report from the Committee appointed to inspect the Books of the East-India Company, and of the Chamberlain of London.

Resolved, That Sir John Trevor, late Speaker of this House, being guilty of a high Crime and Misdemeanor, by receiving a Gratuity of a Thousand Guineas, from the City of London, after passing the Orphans Bill, be expelled this House.

Ordered, That Sir Robert Clayton do attend in his Place upon Monday Morning next.

Ordered, That the further Consideration of the said Report be adjourned till Monday Morning next.
