Appleby Writ.
ORDERED, That Mr. Speaker do issue his Warrant
to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ,
for the electing a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the Borough of Appleby in the County of Westmorland, the room of Sir Wm. Twisden Baronet, deceased.
North-Allerton Writ.
Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue his Warrant to the
Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ, for the electing a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the
Borough of North-Allerton in the County of York, in the
room of Thomas Lascells Esquire, deceased.
Supply.
Sir Thomas Littleton, according to Order, reported from
the Committee of the whole House, to whom it was referred to consider of the Motion for a Supply to be
granted to his Majesty; and also to whom the Consideration of his Majesty's Speech was referred; the Resolution of the said Committee; which they had directed
him to report to the House; and which he read in his
Place; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table:
Where the same was read; and is as followeth;
Resolved, That it is the Opinion of this Committee,
That a Supply be granted to his Majesty.
The said Resolution being read a Second time;
Resolved, That the House doth agree with the Committee in the said Resolution, that a Supply be granted to
his Majesty.
Resolved, That this House will, upon Monday Morning next, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole
House, to consider further of the Supply to be granted
to his Majesty.
Deficiencies of Aids.
Ordered, That an Account of the Deficiencies of the
last Year's Aids, and of the Arrears to the Army and
Navy, be laid before this House.
Resolution for transferring Loans.
Resolved, That whatsoever Loans, not exceeding the
Sum of 600,000 l. which have or shall be made, upon the
Credit of the Exchequer in general, for the Use of the
Fleet, and other Exigencies, and necessary Services, of the
Government, shall be transferred to such Aids as shall be
granted this Session of Parliament.
Call of the House.
Ordered, That the House be called over upon this Day
Sevennight; and that such Members of this House as
shall not then attend, be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House.
The King's Speech to be considered.
Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning,
resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to
consider of his Majesty's Speech.
Back doors of Speaker's Chambers to be locked.
Ordered, That the back Doors of the Speaker's Chambers be locked up every Day, at the Sitting of the House;
and the Keys brought by the Serjeant, and laid upon the
Table.
Timber in New-Forest.
Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for
the better preserving the Timber in New-Forest: And
that Mr. Smith do prepare, and bring in, the Bill.
Preserving Timber.
Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for
the better Preservation and Increase of Timber in all
other Forests: And that Sir Wm. Williams, and Sir Godfry Copley do prepare, and bring in, the Bill.
