Weights and Measures.
ORDERED, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill
for the better preventing Abuses in Weights and
Measures: And that Sir John Kay, Sir Wm. Lowther,
and Mr. Whitaker, do prepare, and bring in, the Bill.
Members summoned.
Ordered, That the Serjeant do go, with the Mace, into
Westminster Hall, and Court of Requests, and summon
the Members there to attend the Service of the House.
And he went accordingly.
And, being returned;
Disbanding the Forces.
Mr. Conyers, according to Order, reported, from the
Committee of the whole House, to whom the Consideration of his Majesty's Speech was referred, the Resolution
of the said Committee; which they had directed him to
report to the House; and which he read in his Place;
and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where
the same was read; and is as followeth; viz.
Resolved, That it is the Opinion of this Committee,
That all the Land-Forces of this Kingdom, that have
been raised since the Nine-and-twentieth of September
One thousand Six hundred and Eighty, shall be paid and
disbanded.
The said Resolution being read a Second time;
And a Motion being made, and the Question being put,
That the said Report be re-committed;
The House divided.
The Noes go forth.

Resolved, That the House doth agree with the Committee in the said Resolution, That all the Land-Forces
of this Kingdom, that have been raised since the 29th of
September 1680, shall be paid and disbanded.
