South Cave (E.R.) with church, pr. and 2 mills a manor of Robert Malet in 1086 (Yorks. DB fos. 320v, 381v). Honour of Malet forfeited 1106, and South Cave passed into honour of Mowbray, prob. before 1114 (Mowbray Chs p. xxiv).

Moiety of church of Otley (W.R.) (abp.'s in 1086, Yorks. DB fos. 303v, 379) part of preb., perhaps gr. by abp. Roger, who gave the other moiety to his foundation of chapel of St Mary and Holy Angels in the Minster (HCY III no. 60 = EEA XX no. 129). Church of Wadworth (W.R.) (Bully fee in 1086, Yorks. DB fos. 319, 373v, 379) part of preb., vicarage ord. by 21 Nov. 1230 (Reg. Gray p. 41).

Vet. fos. 119v-120r) and before 1201 (YMF II nos. 86, 96). Occ. several times. Called Master when sent to Rome over el. of abp. 1214 (Rot. Litt. Claus. I 180; Diplomatic Documents 1101-1272, ed. P. Chaplais (1964) no. 99; cf. Rot. Litt. Pat. p. 141). Last occ. Nov. 1215 × Aug. 1218 (Reg. Gray p. 133) and c. Aug. 1217 (YMF I no. 9). His name may suggest that he held this preb. Identification with M. William of Calne has been suggested (see Letters of Guala pp. 5-6 and refs. cited), but this seems unlikely.]
